Mountaineers in the Pros
The Deuce was Loose, McBride Records NBA Career High
It’s safe to say that former WVU guard Miles “Deuce” McBride is taking full advantage of his New York Knick teammates in COVID protocol. McBride has always been a ‘next man up’ player, since his days in high school, when he was a multi-sport athlete.
With the Knicks playing the Houston Rockets, on Thursday night, head coach Tom Thibodeau let McBride play a great amount of minutes. McBride was going to take advantage of this.
McBride finished the game with 15 points, nine assists, three rebounds, four steals and zero turnovers in 36 minutes of play. The rookie NBA guard shot 6-of-11 from the field, making 2-three’s in the 116-103 win. Here are some highlights throughout the night from McBride. Classic play from the former Mountaineer, makes defensive plays and translates them to points.
