Top 5 Quarterbacks West Virginia will face in 2018

No.3 – Kyler Murray, Oklahoma

Yep. We’ve seen this cat before, unfortunately. Murray started in place of the “suspended” Baker Mayfield against the Mountaineers last year and led the Sooners on a two play scoring drive to begin the game. He ripped off a huge 65 yard run to start the possession that was followed by a rushing touchdown by Rodney Anderson.

Murray is expected to be the starter for Oklahoma despite rumors that he will test the MLB Draft waters and that young quarterback Austin Kendall is pushing for his job. I believe Murray has all but locked up the spot, and although he will not be able to replicate Baker Mayfield, he will be one of the toughest players to stop in college football. Like Robinson of TCU, he is a major dual threat force and will probably run the ball more than Robinson will. If he can improve on his downfield passing, watch out for another potent Sooner offense.
