Watch: Geno Smith Got Worried When He Noticed Aaron Donald

Geno Smith facing Aaron Donald

Geno Smith said out loud what most quarterbacks are thinking when they realize Aaron Donald is headed their way.

Smith could be heard yelling “oh my God!” on a third down play in the second quarter of Seattle’s season opening loss to the Rams. This is because he realized Donald was busting through the line full force.

Fortunately for Smith, this was one of the rare occasions on the day where the ball actually bounced his way. Smith got the pass off just in time to avoid the sack.

Donald was not fully denied all day though. He did get credit for half of a sack in the game.

As for how Smith played individually, he completed only 16 out of 26 passes and threw just 112 yards. The Rams won the game 30-13, putting pressure on Smith and the Seahawks to respond next week when they travel to Detroit to take on the Lions.
