Watch: Pat McAfee Excited About WVU Again, Reminded of Herbstreit Bet

Pat McAfee Show

ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit is just one West Virginia win away from owing former Mountaineer punter and media mogul host Pat McAfee “anything” he wants.

At the beginning of the season, Herbstreit was willing to bet it all that WVU would have a losing season. But now after the Mountaineers dominated Big 12 newcomers BYU on Saturday and became bowl eligible, it appears Herbstreit may have to get ready to pay up.

The WVU alum has remained supportive but fair in his evaluations of the Mountaineers. He was the only GameDay analyst to pick WVU over TCU.

McAfee was pumped on his Monday edition of The Pat McAfee show after the 37-7 win over the Cougars Saturday night in Morgantown.

“It was awesome for West Virginia…,” McAfee boasted on his show.

Respect was also given, however, especially to BYU athletes, after carrying out the West Virginia state flag before the game and staying to watch Milan Puskar Stadium belt out “Country Roads.”

The question now becomes what should McAfee request from Herbstreit when WVU wins their seventh game?
