Watch: WVU Product Caleb McNeely Crushes Walk-Off HR in Minors
Curious what WVU baseball product Caleb McNeely is up to? Well, he hit a three-run walk-off home run on Sunday.
McNeely’s game-winning blast capped off a big comeback, as his Fort Meyers Mighty Mussels (the Single-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins) scored seven runs in the final inning.

McNeely made his lone season in Morgantown count, becoming one of WVU’s best hitters and helping lead the Mountaineers to a share of a Big 12 title and appearance in the NCAA Regional in 2023. He played three years at Walters State Community College in Morristown, Tennessee before stepping up to Big 12 baseball.
McNeely posted a .296 batting average while hitting 13 home runs with 64 hits, 14 doubles, 49 RBI and scoring 48 runs. The highlight of McNeely’s season came when he hit for the cycle against Kansas State. This was only the fourth cycle in WVU baseball history.
McNeely started his pro career off by signing with the Pittsburgh Pirates affiliated Washington Wild Things.
