WVU Football target LB Cincere Johnson

The stock for Cincere Johnson is steadily rising even though he still has two more years of high school football left. Likely aware of the attention he’s receiving, West Virginia decided to enter the recruiting chat for the linebacker by sending him an official offer on Thursday.

Johnson posted about his WVU offer on X (Twitter), the first one he’s publicized in the month of May. A Glenville High School prospect out of Cleveland, Ohio, Johnson is listed at 6-foot-3 and 225 pounds.

He’s a consensus four-star recruit with offers from big brands and elite level programs like Cincinnati, Louisville, Michigan State, Notre Dame and Wisconsin just to name a few. Michigan and Ohio State have also shown some interest in Johnson.

Johnson is ranked as a top 10 player in his class by several major recruiting outlets, most notably ESPN, On3 Sports and 247 Sports. Rivals also classifies Johnson as a four-star, but has yet to rank him among the rest of his class.
