West Virginia Receives Visit From Cincinnati Freshman Transfer Zeiqui Lawton
The West Virginia Mountaineers received a visit from a freshman transfer.
Rivals NCAA Transfer Portal is reporting that Cincinnati 2021 defensive tackle Zeiqui Lawton visited West Virginia this weekend. Lawton entered the transfer portal on November 11 and didn’t play at all this fall for the Bearcats.
Lawton was a 3-star recruit for Luke Fickell’s program and is from South Charleston, West Virginia. Prior to committing to Cincinnati, Lawton (6’2″, 240) held offers from Boise State, Duke, Illinois, Indiana, Louisville, Marshall, Nebraska, NC State, Oregon, Toledo and West Virginia. On his decision day, Lawton announced a Top Five of Cincinnati, Oregon, Illinois, Boise State and West Virginia.
