West Virginia Staff Reaches Out to Wichita State Transfer Morris Udeze

On Wednesday night, it was first reported by Jake Weingarten of Stockrisers that West Virginia is in contact with Wichita State transfer Morris Udeze. Udeze entered the transfer portal on Wednesday afternoon and heard from the WVU staff within hours.

Udeze (6-foot-8, 235 pounds) had also heard from Arizona State, Boston College, Georgia, Iowa State, LSU, Maryland, New Mexico State, Northwestern, Pitt, SMU, UNLV and Utah State.

Udeze spent four seasons at Wichita State, appearing in 93 games for head coaches Gregg Marshall and Isaac Brown. The Houston, Texas, native has stepped up his production over the last two seasons. Udeze averaged 10.2 points, 6.1 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in 27 games for the Shockers last season. Udeze shot 50 percent from the field.
