WVSN Notebook 3/26/24: WVU Football News, Portal Activity
The West Virginia Sports Now Daily Notebook is a daily recap of news concerning West Virginia University Athletics.
Update (11:30 PM) –
WVU Baseball defeated the Akron Zips 6-2. Akron took a 2-0 lead in the third inning with a two-run homer, but the Mountaineers battled back with four runs in the bottom of the frame, two of which were created by Aaron Jamison.
The freshman center fielder and Morgantown product hit the go-ahead RBI triple, then stole home to make it 4-2.
West Virginia added two insurance runs in the eighth, and Hambleton Oliver recorded a four out save to put the win on ice. This marks the third win in a row for the Mountaineers, who now sit at 15-10.
