WV Sports Now Recruiting Notebook: January 9

As the end of the 2020 recruiting cycle draws near, the Mountaineers are continuing to make strides in future classes.
**Kaden Prather, a four-star wide receiver in the class of 2021, has named West Virginia as one of his top 11 schools. In addition to WVU, Ohio State, Rutgers, Alabama, Penn State, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Maryland, Pitt, North Carolina and South Carolina were listed.

**Fabian Ross, a 2020 cornerback from Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, has received an offer from West Virginia. Ross is currently unranked, but he also holds offers from Nevada, Minnesota and Penn State.

**Zachariah Branch, a 2023 wide receiver, has received an offer from WVU. Despite being unranked, he also holds offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Auburn, Georgia, Oregon State, Penn State, UNLV and Utah.

**Jovantae Barnes, an unranked running back in the class of 2022, has received an offer from WVU. He also holds offers from Alabama, Arizona, Arizona State, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Minnesota, Oregon State, Penn State, Tennessee and USC.

**Zion Branch, a four-star defensive back in the class of 2022, has received an offer from WVU. The Mountaineers join a list of teams that includes Arizona, Arizona State, Auburn, Boise State, Colorado, Minnesota, Penn State, UNLV, USC and Utah.

**Zakee Wheatley, a four-star wide receiver in 2021, has listed WVU in his first 17 schools. The others include Toledo, Pitt, Penn State, Maryland, Michigan State, Cincinnati, Northwestern, Boston College, UMass, Wake Forest, Louisville, Virginia Tech, Duke, Virginia, Liberty and Rutgers.
