WVU women’s basketball will wear uniform patches this season to commemorate the team’s first head coach, Kittie Blakemore. A WVU Hall-of-Famer, Blakemore coached the Mountaineers for 19 seasons, amassing 301 wins. She passed away in July.

South Charleston defensive end Zeiqui Lawton, the number two rated recruit in West Virginia, has announced that he will sign with Cincinnati on Dec. 16.

McLeod is a three-star safety from Imhotep Institute in Philadelphia. He verbally committed to WVU on Feb. 1.
