South Charleston High School senior football standout Zeiqui Lawton has committed to play college football at Cincinnati.

Lawton, the Black Eagles all-time sack leader, made the announcement Saturday evening on social media.

The senior wrapped up the shortened regular season with 41 tackles, 14 tackles for a loss and nine sacks — bringing his career sack total to 29.

Lawton, a 247Sports three-star recruit, picked the Bearcats over offers from Oregon, Boise State, Illinois and West Virginia (which had backed off the in-state star in recent months) among others.
