WVSN High School Football Player of the Week: Independence RB Atticus Goodson

Published

on

It’s safe to say Independence junior running back Atticus Goodson had a good start to the 2020 West Virginia high school football season.

Goodson carried the ball just nine times as the Patriots walloped visiting PikeView 71-0 on Friday, but he made the most of those limited touches by finishing with 237 yards and four touchdowns — including the two in the highlights above. There were many strong performances by players around the Mountain State in Week 1, but for his effort Goodson has been named the first WVSN High School Football Player of the Week.
