WVSN High School Football Player of the Week: Musselman RB Blake Hartman

Musselman faced a tough test on the road last week when the Applemen made the trip to East-West Stadium to take on perennial Class AA state power Fairmont Senior. The Polar Bears played them close for a half, but in the end Musselman standout senior Blake Hartman proved to be too much for Fairmont Senior to handle.
Hartman, who last week became Musselman’s all-time leading rusher, ran for 244 yards and three touchdowns while also returning a punt for a touchdown in a 42-21 win for the Applemen. All four of Hartman’s touchdowns came in the second half of a comeback by MHS after the Polar Bears jumped to a 13-0 lead in the first quarter.
