WVSN Poll: Are West Virginia and Texas Rivals?

The question of whether or not West Virginia and Texas are college football rivals is a hard one to answer.

For starters, who can say if teams are rivals or not? The fanbases? The players? the coaches? On Tuesday, WVU coach Neal Brown said he does not see it as a rivalry.

We do not expect a potential rivalry with the Longhorns to eclipse any of WVU’s classic rivalries — like the ones with Pitt, Penn State or Virginia Tech — anytime soon, but WVSN wants to hear from you. Do you think Saturday’s game in Austin between West Virginia and Texas is a rivalry game?
