Report: West Virginia Extends Contracts to Jordan Lesley and Other Defensive Coaches
As first reported by Mike Casazza of 247Sports, West Virginia football has extended the contracts to defensive coordinator Jordan Lesley, as well as other defensive coaches on the staff. Lesley’s new contract is a three-year deal, lasting until 2025.
Lesley will be paid $650,000 this year, earning $50,000 bonuses respectively for the next two years after that. The former Troy coach has climb the rankings, serving as WVU’s defensive coordinator in 2021.

WVU also extended contracts to ShaDon Brown, secondary coach and co-defensive coordinator; Jeff Koonz, linebackers coach and special teams coordinator; Dontae Wright, safeties coach; and defensive line coach Andrew Jackson.
Brown and Koonz were extended through the 2023 season, while Wright and Jackson each received two-year extensions.
