WVU Football Has 2024 4-Star WR Scheduled for Official Visit This Weekend

With the WVU football program currently focused on showcasing itself to high school players, four-star wide receiver Jaylan Hornsby becomes the latest top recruit to announce a trip to Morgantown.
On Tuesday morning, Hornsby, who has been holding a WVU offer since December, tweeted a graphic to show he will taking his official visit with West Virginia this coming weekend of June 9 to 11. Hornsby (6-foot-1, 201 pounds) is a class of 2024 athlete out of Winslow Township High School in Camden, New Jersey.

He’s ranked as a four-star prospect by most national outlets. Only Rivals has him placed as a three-star player. Hornsby is considered a top 10 player in the state of New Jersey.
After having to revamp the entire receiver room this offseason, securing depth at the position has become an increased priority for the Mountaineers recruiting wise. A uniqueness in pursuing Hornsby is his Northeast location. Most of WVU’s wide receiver recruits are based in the south, most notably Florida, due to that being the recruiting geographical location appointed to wide receivers coach Bilal Marshall.
Hornsby has several offers from Power Five schools and has been in constant communication with Penn State, Texas A&M. He also has offers from Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oregon, Pitt, Syracuse and Wisconsin.
