WVU Football Recruiting
WVU Football Joins Mix for Western Kentucky DB
In this day and age, it’s essential to make sure a program builds on one successful season in order to have another one that’s even better. That’s now the situation for the WVU football program as the Mountaineers look to improve the roster for 2024.
To that end, West Virginia sends an offer to a transfer player at a position of need. WVU has offered Western Kentucky transfer defensive back Upton Stout.

Throughout his time at WKU, Stout recorded 73 total tackles, 15 pass deflections, five interceptions and one touchdown in 21 games.
If Stout does become a Mountaineer, it could be more luck from a deceive back out of Western Kentucky. Even though Beanie Bishop spent one season at Minnesota before making an impact with WVU this past season, he initially started his career at WKU.
Stout also has offers from Boston College, Cincinnati, Houston, Ole Miss, Pitt, Tulsa, Virginia Tech, Washington State among others.
