The WVU football program may have found its next running back star. Deandre Desinor, a 2025 four-star running back out of Florida, has now officially committed to become a Mountaineer.

Desinor announced his commitment to West Virginia on his Instagram story on Monday morning.

Listed at 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds, Desinor, who attends Atlantic High School in Delray Beach, Fla., becomes the first recruit to commit from those who visited over the weekend. He’s ranked as a consensus four-star prospect by major national recruiting outlets and a top 40 player in Florida.

Desinor picked WVU over offers from schools of all levels like FAU, Florida, Florida State, Louisville, Maryland, Ole Miss, Penn State, Pitt, USF and Texas A&M.

Persistence paid off for WVU staff in the case of pursuing Desinor. West Virginia initially sent him an offer back in May of last year.
