The WVU football staff sent an offer to a young prospect who could play on either side of the ball on Wednesday morning.

Class of 2026 athlete Braylon Outlaw announced his offer from West Virginia, saying WVU quarterbacks coach Tyler Allen called him with the news.

“After a great conversation with Coach Tyler Allen, I am blessed to receive an offer from West Virginia University,” said Outlaw on X (Twitter).

Outlaw (6-foot, 200 pounds), who is heading into his junior season at Pike Road High School in Pike Road, Ala., viewed as an athlete by recruiting outlets due to his experience playing both outside linebacker and running back.

Rivals has even already awarded Outlaw three stars, ranking him as the No. 15 player in the state in his class.

Before this WVU offer, Outlaw received offers from programs like Arkansas, Duke, Maryland, Michigan, Ole Miss, Oregon and South Carolina.

Here are Outlaw’s defensive statistics from his sophomore season in 2023: 89 tackles, seven sacks, 13 tackles for a loss, two picks, three pass deflections, two forced fumbles and two defensive touchdowns.
