There’s reason to believe success on the field will lead to more success in building the future of the WVU football program. And that’s especially evident as the Mountaineers continue to be in the running for a highly coveted running back recruit.

Deandre Desinor, a class of 2025 four-star prospect out of American Heritage High School in Delray Beach, FL, included West Virginia when he narrowed down his list of schools to 10. Desinor (5-foot-10, 180 pounds) is still considering Florida State, Georgia, Louisville, Miami, North Carolina, Oregon, Ole Miss, Penn State, Texas and WVU.

On3 was first with the news and talked Desinor about what he likes about each program. As far as what making him interested in West Virginia, “like what West Virginia is doing and definitely see my part of that offense to make plays,” he said.

The Mountaineers officially joined the battle for Desinor back in May, sending him his 17th Division I offer.

While he still has two remaining high school seasons to work on his game and body, Desinor also has to like what he’s seeing out of WVU’s run heavy offense and the immediate impact of freshman Jahiem White.
