WVU Football Offers 2027 TE Already Committed to Big 12 School

In an effort to steal away a recruit committed to another Big 12 school, the WVU football staff sent an offer to a 2027 tight end on Monday night.

Tanner Ehmen, who has been committed to UCF since May, revealed his recent offer from West Virginia on social media.

Listed at 6-foot-5 and 230 pounds, Ehmen is a 2027 tight end prospect out of Thompson High School in Alabama, where he was part of a 2025 state championship team. He’s currently ranked as a top 50 player in his class in Alabama and just outside the top at his position in the country.

In addition to WVU and UCF, Ehmen also has notable offers from Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, Jacksonville State, Navy, South Florida and Tulane among others.
