WVU Offers 6-foot-5, 300-pound 15-year-old OL Samson Okunlola
West Virginia extended a scholarship offer to Thayer Academy sophomore offensive tackle Samson Okunlola on Wednesday.
Okunlola told WVSN that Wednesday was the first day he had heard from anyone at WVU and an 8-10 minutes phone call with second-year offensive recruiting coordinator Scott Gasper ended with a scholarship offer.

A member of the 2023 recruiting class, Okunlola has not yet been rated by either 247Sports or rivals, but Okunlola’s size alone makes him an intriguing prospect.
At just 15-years-old, Okunlola told WVSN that he is currently 6-foot-5 and 300 pounds. In July, he posted a picture to Twitter showing a seven-foot wingspan and a 9.8-inch hand size.
And I’m only 15 y/o……

Okunlola already has power five scholarship offers from Tennessee, Boston College, Arizona State, Colorado and Indiana, all since the start of September. He said he does not know much about West Virginia, but was excited to receiver the offer nonetheless and will be looking more into the university soon.
