West Virginia lefty Jackson Wolf has been named a Third Team Preseason All-American by the National College Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA), the organization announced Wednesday.

The left-hander has a 4.06 ERA across 36 career appearances and has made 19 starts as a Mountaineer. Wolf was also named to the Preseason All-Big 12 team earlier this offseason.

Other Big 12 players named NCBWA Preseason All-Americans include; shortstop Cal Conley, outfielder Dylan Neuse and reliever Micah Dallas from Texas Tech, reliever Jason Ruffcorn and outfielder Tanner Tredaway from Oklahoma, reliever Luke Boyd from Baylor, starting pitcher Ty Madden from Texas and reliever Haylen Green from TCU.

WVU opens the 2021 college baseball season on Friday with a four-game series against the Georgia State Panthers.
