WVU Women’s Basketball Alum Jordan Harrison Signs Standard WNBA Contract

Former WVU women’s basketball standout Jordan Harrison has finally found some stability in the WNBA, signing a standard contract with the Portland Fire on Sunday.

Harrison previously signed a player development contract with the Fire on May 25. She initially made the team’s opening roster, but was waived just days later.

Harrison’s signing comes just one day after she scored a career-high 13 points in a home 100-93 win over the Seattle Storm. She has appeared in six games this season, averaging 5.5 points, 3.8 assists and two rebounds per game.

Harrison capped off her WVU tenure with a Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year nod, averaging 13.2 points per game and totaling 106 steals in three years as a Mountaineer.

Harrison followed head coach Mark Kellogg to Morgantown in 2023 when he was hired from Stephen F. Austin.
