WVU’s Dante Stills Named PFF Preseason All-American

Like his brother before him, West Virginia defensive lineman Dante Stills has started receiving preseason accolades heading into his senior season. On Monday, ProFootballFocus named Stills a second-team preseason All-American.

In his third season as a full-time starter, Stills, now a senior, recorded a career-high 35 tackles with 10.5 tackles for loss and two sacks in 10 games in 2020. He was named a Big 12 honorable mention following the season. He will be WVU’s most experienced defensive lineman in 2021.

Other Big 12 players on PFF’s list include Oklahoma quarterback Spencer Rattler, running back Kennedy Brooks, receiver Marvin Mims, defensive linemen Jalen Redmond and Nik Bonitto and kicker Gabe Brkic; Kansas State running back Deuce Vaughn and punt returner Phillip Brooks; Iowa State running back Breece Hall, tight end Charlie Kolar and linebacker Mike Rose;  Oklahoma State guard Hunter Woodard and safety Tre Stirling; Baylor linebacker Jalen Pitre, cornerback Raleigh Texada and kick returner Trestan Ebner; TCU cornerback Tre’Vius Hodges-Tomlinson and punt returner Derius Davis.
