For the second season in a row, WVU Football’s Offensive Lineman Zach Frazier has been named to the Wuerffel Trophy Watch List.

Frazier is not only receiving recognition for his work on the field but his work off the field as well. The Wuerffel Trophy is “presented to the FBS player who best combines exemplary community service with leadership achievement on and off the field.”

The award is named for Danny Wuerffel, the 1996 starting quarterback for the national title winning Florida Gators. He works at the non-profit Desire Street Ministries to help spread spiritual and community development in souther communities.

Most recently, Zach Frazier was named to the Outland Trophy Watch List on Wednesday. In addition, the Fairmont, W.Va., native, has also been named by Athalon Sports on the Preseason All American First Team, and the Walter Camp and Phil Steele’s Preseason All-American Second Team.

In 2021, WVU Kicker Evan Staley was also named to the watch list.
