2023 3-Star RB Trey Cornist Includes West Virginia in Top 7

West Virginia is in the running for another playmaker, this one a running back in the 2023 recruiting class.

The Mountaineers are among Trey Cornist’s top seven schools after the Cincinnati, Ohio native decided to open his recruiting back up in late October. He was previously committed to Georgia Tech.

 

A three-star prospect, Cornist says he will make his final decision on Early Signing Day on Dec. 21 at Winston Woods High School.

is listed as standing 5’11” and weighing 209 pounds by 247 Sports, although Rivals has him a bit bigger at 6’1″ and weighing 215 pounds. Rivals also ranks Cornist as the 28th best player in the state of Ohio.

Cornist haș received 13 total offers during his entire recruitment process, including one from the Mountaineers. Besides West Virginia, East Carolina, Kentucky, Michigan State, Georgia Tech, Alcorn State, Austin Peay, Ball State, Buffalo, Grambling State, Kansas State, Louisville, Marshall, Massachusetts, Purdue, Tennessee State, Toledo, Tulane and Western Kentucky.
