West Virginia picks up their second commitment of the day, this time in 2023 DL Eamon Smalls. Smalls announced his commitment to WVU on his social media accounts on Sunday afternoon.

“First off I would like to thank god for putting me in this position to have this opportunity. I would also like to thank my wonderful mother for all that she has done for me and my mentor coach Dantzler pushing me to be the best person I could be and anyone who has helped me to get to this point. And with that being said after an amazing visit I would like to announce that I will be spending my next four years of college at West Virginia University. 100% committed. Go Mountaineers,” Smalls wrote on Twitter.

Smalls (6-foot-2, 325 pounds) visited West Virginia for his official visit over the weekend. The South Carolina native received offers from Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, Eastern Michigan, Liberty and South Carolina. Smalls is rated a 3-star prospect by Rivals and On3.

With the commitment from Smalls, West Virginia secures their second commitment of the day for the class of 2023. On Sunday morning, OL Cooper Young committed to WVU. Neal Brown and his coaching staff now have nine players committed for the class of 2023.
