2023 Three-Star WR Nathan Leacock Puts WVU in his Top Seven

Published

Three-star 2023 wide receiver Nathan Leacock (6-foot-4, 197-pounds) has put West Virginia in his top seven. West Virginia is listed alongside Florida, NC State, North Carolina, Michigan, Mississippi State and Tennessee.

Leacock is a three-star wide receiver on all four of the major recruiting outlets (247Sports, ESPN, On3 and Rivals) though barely a three-star on ESPN as their scout grade of 78 is just two points away from making him a four-star.

He hails from Milbrook High School in Raleigh, North Carolina and his home state school NC State is currently being projected as his future stomping grounds by 247Sports crystal ball and Rivals future cast. On3 is predicting Tennessee though with an 87.0% chance.

He is a top 20 recruit in the state of North Carolina according to 247Sports composite (19), On3 consensus (19) and Rivals (15). All three also list him as a top 100 wide receiver recruit with On3 consensus being the lowest at 86 while 247Sports (74) and Rivals (75) place him in the top 75 in the country.

He’s already taken three official visits this year, with West Virginia not being one of them. He has taken official visits to Michigan (June 14), North Carolina (June 17) and Tennessee (June 24). He doesn’t have anymore scheduled as of this writing.

Overall he has received 23 offers. The 16 other schools that offered him, but did not to make his top seven are Appalachian State, Boston College, Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, Duke, East Carolina, James Madison, Kentucky, Liberty, Louisville, Maryland, Miami, Northwestern, Vanderbilt, Virginia and Virginia Tech.
