2027 OL Recruit Caps Off Spring Visit with WVU Football Offer

Rich Rodriguez and his WVU football staff saw enough from 2027 offensive line recruit Carter Jones during his visit to make him an official offer. Jones announced that the offer came at the end of his trip to Morgantown on Saturday.
“After an amazing visit and conversation with Coach Rodriguez and Coach (Jack) Bicknell, I am blessed to receive a D1 scholarship to WVU,” posted Jones on X (formerly Twitter).ย

Listed at 6-foot-6 and 285 pounds, Jones attends Poquoson High School in Virginia. West Virginia is recruiting Jones as an offensive lineman, but some see him as more of a defensive lineman.
Now that he wrapped up a successful experience at WVU, Jones also has spring visits scheduled with Georgia, North Carolina, Clemson, North Carolina State, Pitt and Maryland (in that order) in the coming weeks.
Jones now has over 10 offers, most notably from Duke, East Carolina, Liberty, North Carolina State, Syracuse, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.
