4-Star Maryland Prospect Cam Ward Receives WVU Offer

2025 4-star prospect Cam Ward received an offer from West Virginia on Sunday night. WVU assistant DerMarr Johnson extended the offer to the Upper Marlboro, Md. native.

“I am extremely blessed to receive an offer from West Virginia University. Thank you to DerMarr Johnson and the West Virginia coaching staff,” Ward wrote on Twitter.

Ward (6-foot-6) is rated the No. 55 prospect in the 2025 class. The sophomore forward has received offers from Bryant, Canisius, George Mason, George Washington, Georgetown, Illinois, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia. Ward plays at Largo High School and AAU ball for Team Durant.

Ward averaged 25 points and 12 rebounds as a sophomore and winning a championship in Prince George’s County.
