The NCAA’s NIL policy went into effect on July 1, 2021 and allows all NCAA student athletes to profit off of their name, image and likeness. Wheaton is the latest of many athletes to take advantage of the rule change.
The wide receiver is entering his redshirt-senior year. He has a combined 61 catches for 866 yards and six touchdowns across two seasons of playing time. He will be eligible for the 2023 NFL Draft.
Mario’s Fishbowl is a bar with an over 50 year history in Morgantown for West Virginia University students.
