WVU Football CB recruit Aydan West

Even before the festivities of the Gold-Blue Game could get underway, the WVU football program received some positive recruiting news. On Friday, a three-star cornerback revealed West Virginia as one of the schools in his top six.

Listed at 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, Aydan West narrowed down his list to Cincinnati, Duke, Penn State, Virginia and Wake Forest in addition to WVU.

A 2025 prospect out of Quince Orchard High School in Gaithersburg, Md., West has earned a three-star rating by several major national recruiting outlets. Both Rivals and On3 Sports rank West as one of their top 20 players in Maryland.

WVU booked West for an official visit on March 26.

West Virginia and the other programs on West’s current list beat out the likes of Boston College, Maryland, Pitt and Virginia Tech.
