Watch: Fox Sports’ Charissa Thompson Interviews Former WVU QB Geno Smith
Former West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith has been getting national attention for leading the Seattle Seahawks to a 6-3 record and first place in the NFC West division midway through the 2022-23 NFL season.
Smith has done so with a league high 73.1% completion percentage, a 15:4 TD:INT ratio, 2199 yards passing and a 107.2 QB rating. Oh, and he’s added 196 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
Given the incredible story from the 32-year-old once labeled a bust after failing to become the New York Jets franchise quarterback, it’s no surprise that Fox’s Charissa Thompson wanted to interview him to talk about his season.
Video from that interview can be found in the Twitter post below:
Loved getting to sitdown with Geno Smith this week. Has his team atop the division and making the most of his opportunity. Easy to root for a guy like him. @Seahawks pic.twitter.com/uOljEqRFqr

Smith’s Cinderella story is about to become transcontinental as his next game with the Seahawks will be in Munich, Germany against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That game will be this Sunday at 9:30 a.m. EST.
