Geno Smith

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before. Geno Smith turned it on in the fourth quarter and led the Seahawks to another win.

Smith, who was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Month for October, opened up November with one of his best games yet. This week, Smith went 26 of 34 for 275 yards, completing 76.5% of his passes. He threw two touchdown passes with one interception and ran for 38 yards, including an 18-yarder scamper.

Just like every game this season, Smith’s rating surpassed 100 finalizing at 106.9 for the game. Smith now has 15 touchdown passes on the year, which is a new career-high for the West Virginia legend.

The win was a big one for Seattle since it was over the NFC West divisional rival Arizona Cardinals. Seattle is now 6-3 on the season, having won four in a row. This latest stellar performance only furthers any talk of Smith’s comeback season being more than just that and earning MVP consideration.

Asti: Geno Smith Has a Legitimate Case for NFL MVP

Former Mountaineer and former teammate of Smith at WVU Bruce Irvin, now back with the Seahawks for his third stint with the franchise, recorded his best game in 2022 with a couple tackles, one being for a loss.

Smith remains as one of the most prolific players in school history as the all-time passing yards and passing touchdowns leader with 11,662 yards and 98 touchdowns. He played from 2009-12 before being a second round selection by the New York Jets.
