Today, the school announced that junior wingman, Esa Ahmad will serve a 10-game suspension to begin the season for a violation of team rules. The suspension was rumored back in the summer and became official today. Ahmad is set to return Jan.1 when the Mountaineers travel to Manhattan to play Kansas State, which will be the teams 2nd conference game of the year. Ahmad averaged 11.3 PPG and 4.3 RPG, he will definitely be missed, but expect young guys such as Lamont West to gain more floor time along with true freshman Teddy Allen.
