On Monday, Baylor head coach Scott Drew announced that players James Akinjo and Jeremy Sochan could miss the game against West Virginia on Tuesday.

Drew said that both Akinjo and Sochan are dealing with day-to-day injuries, with the injuries being undisclosed.

The reigning National Champions needed to replace their backcourt of Davion Mitchell and Jared Butler, which they did with acquiring Akinjo from the transfer portal. In his new role, Akinjo has been great for the Bears, leading the team in scoring with 13.9 points, 2.6 rebounds and 5.7 assists. Sochan is a 6-foot-9 freshman who has been playing his role great for Drew so far. Sochan is averaging 7.9 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 15 games.
