Cornerbacks Coach Doug Belk Offers Defensive Back from Alabama

Published

on

Cornerbacks coach Doug Belk dips into Alabama and offers defensive back Jaydon Hill. The 6’0″ 170-lb from Bob Jones High School says the offer is “Big time.”

Hill has great skills, instincts, and vision to go along with his speed. He can quickly read the offense and can change the game in one play. Has an eye for the ball and defends the best player on the field. Jaydon has the strength to get to the backfield and bring down the running back or quarterback. He can go up and get the ball, and if he doesn’t get it he will break it up.

Although he doesn’t know a lot about WVU, he does know they produce defensive backs.

Jaydon’s thoughts on playing in the Big XII, “its a big time conference.” He doesn’t have a top list of schools yet, but plans to commit either right before the season or in December. Hill plans to crack down on the schools that have offered, and see what fits him best for the next three to four years. He wants to dominate this season and see what school fits him best.

What matters the most to him in finding a school is the relationship with the coaches and making it feel like a second home. To Jaydon, distance does not matter.

He molds his game around Vernon Hargreaves from Florida.

When he hears West Virginia Football he automatically thinks of Tavon Austin.

The biggest improvement for him is to turn  his head around quicker while the ball is in the air. When asking about the 3-3-5 defense that defensive coordinator Tony Gibson runs he says “We run the same thing at Bob Jones, so its nothing new, its good, it wouldn’t be anything new for him if he were to come to WVU.”

He is in talks with coach Belk to get a visit set up to Morgantown.
