Former Clemson RB Lyn-J Dixon Announces Transfer to WVU

Neal Brown and the WVU football staff have another reason to be thankful today as former 4-star Clemson running back Lyn-J Dixon announced on Instagram that he is transferring to the Mountaineers.

Dixon committed to Clemson in 2018 and in three years with the Tigers, Dixon rushed 218 times for 1,420 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Dixon was sparsely used this year, with only 10 carries on the season. However, in 2019 the 5-foot-10, 194-pound back from Butler, GA rushed 104 times for 635 yards and had six touchdowns while catching 14 passes for 121 yards, helping the Tigers advance to the National Championship.

Dixon should have a chance to compete for playing time with the upcoming departure of senior running back Leddie Brown for the NFL. As things stand, he will join Tony Mathis Jr., Justin Johnson Jr., and Jaylen Anderson in the Mountaineer backfield for 2022.
