A former WVU defensive back and coach has landed a new job in the NFL. Jahmile Addae is jumping from one AFC East team to another after being hired by the Miami Dolphins, per several national reports.

Addae will coach the cornerbacks with the Dolphins, the same role he held in Buffalo. He will also be returning to Miami, which is where he worked as a member of the Miami Hurricanes staff prior to moving on for an NFL opportunity with the Bills.

Addae was a two-time captain and two-time All-Big East defensive back while playing for Rich Rodriguez as a Mountaineer from 2001-2005.

He then served as a graduate assistant at WVU in 2007 before following Rodriguez to Michigan for a couple years. He spent time on staffs at Cincinnati, Arizona and Minnesota before stints with Georgia and Miami (FL) up until jumping to the NFL.

Addae was a popular name brought up to serve as Rodriguezโ€™s defensive coordinator upon his return to West Virginia. Rodriguez instead turned to Zac Alley, who is still in Morgantown and serving as defensive coordinator and assistant head coach.
