Kyzir White will now join Zach Frazier, Wyatt Milum, Colton McKivitz and other former Mountaineers in the NFL playoffs. The San Francisco 49ers signed White on Tuesday.

White confirmed the news himself with a “let’s boogie” response to a national report.

San Francisco’s addition of White boosters their linebacker room and a defense that’s been riddled with injuries all season.

After two years with the Arizona Cardinals, White spent the 2025 regular season as a member of the Tennessee Titans’ practice squad. Tennessee then released White on Dec. 8 after he failed to appear in any games.

In 2024, White finished with 137 total tackles, good enough for 15th best in the NFL, 2.5 sacks and even a big game sealing interception.

White signed with Arizona before the 2023 season. He appeared in the Super Bowl as a member of the Eagles after the 2022 season.

During his lone season in Philadelphia, White totaled 110 combined tackles, 1.5 sacks and seven passes defensed. The 2022 season marked the second consecutive year he surpassed 100 combined tackles. White’s individual success carried over to the playoffs as he led his team in tackles in the Eagles NFC Championship Game win over San Fransisco.

Prior to being drafted by the Los Angeles Chargers in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft, where he spent his first four NFL seasons, Kyzir White was a JUCO recruit from Lackawanna College. He then transferred to West Virginia, playing for the Mountaineers from 2016-2017. While at West Virginia, he played safety and forced four fumbles, recorded four sacks, 14.5 tackles for loss, 152 tackles and three interceptions in 25 games.
