New WVU Football Coach Recruiting Nearby 2027 4-Star Edge Rusher
To continue their focus on recruiting for the pass rush lately, the WVU football staff sent an offer to a top prospect in a neighboring state.
Edge rusher Rion Jackson revealed his recent offer from West Virginia on Tuesday, Jan. 27. Listed at about 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds, Jackson attends Annapolis High School in Maryland as a member of the 2027 class.
Jackson is being directly recruited by Larry Knight, hired this offseason by WVU to work with the edge rushers and specialize in the pass rush.
Ranked as a four-star by Rivals and a three-star by 247 Sports, Jackson has also earned offers from other similar programs. Virginia Tech extended an offer before West Virginia and North Carolina then jumped in the mix after the Mountaineers. He also has offers from Auburn, Duke, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Rutgers, South Carolina, Syracuse, Tennessee, Notre Dame and even USF, Liberty. Old Dominion, Toledo and Morgan State.
