Former WVU WR Rodney Gallagher Commits to Big 12 School
Rodney Gallagher left West Virginia, but he won’t be leaving the Big 12. The former WVU wide receiver announced his commitment to Arizona on Saturday evening.
Gallagher’s commitment comes after taking a recent visit.

Joining the Mountaineers as a four-star recruit out of Western Pennsylvania in Neal Brown’s 2023 class, Gallagher appeared in 38 games over his Mountaineer tenure. He caught 28 passes for 283 yards this season and rushed 14 times for 83 yards, but did not find the end zone during the 2025 season.
On his college career, Gallagher has 64 catches for 605 yards and three touchdowns while carrying the ball 45 times for 221 yards.
The pinnacle of Gallagher’s career came in the 2024 season when he scored the game-winning touchdown against Kansas, his first career score.
Gallagher shared more about his feelings about his time in West Virginia.

Another example of college football being different now. We’ll miss seeing the local kid from Uniontown play his Senior year. We also genuinely hope he has a great year (except for the game in Morgantown) and makes a ton of NIL bank.
