Former WVU WR Preston Fox Takes Big Step Towards Next Chapter in Life
With football now behind him, former Mountaineer wide receiver Preston Fox is about to embark on his next chapter in life.
Fox is now an engaged man, proposing to his longtime girlfriend Emsley Farley, a WVU alum herself.
Fox, a Morgantown native, walked on at WVU in 2020 and eventually earned a scholarship from then-head coach Neal Brown. Across five seasons, Fox amassed 46 receptions for 594 yards and three touchdowns.
He returned to play one final college season under Rich Rodriguez, taking advantage of an extra year of eligibility due to the COVID-19 pandemic, after initially deciding to retire after WVU fired Neal Brown.

Fox only caught three passes for 46 yards in 2025, mostly seeing the field as a returner.
