Geno Smith didn’t earn a playoff birth this season, but he ended his season a big winner nonetheless. Smith’s performance in Seattle’s regular season finale unlocked $6 million in incentives in his contract.

On Sunday, Smith led the Seahawks to a 30-25 win over the Los Angeles Rams while throwing for 223 yards, completing 74.1% of his passes and tossing a career-high four touchdowns.

Smith, 34, needed 10 wins, a passing completion rate of 69.755% or higher, more than 4,282 passing yards during the 2024 season to gain an extra $2 million for each achievement.

The Seahawks finished with a 10-7 record on the year as he totaled 4,320 yards and a completion rate over 70%.

The video below shows one of his touchdowns against the Rams.

Geno is just the best!! If he ever retires and comes back to WVU, we’d welcome him with a red carpet, open arms and empty our bank accounts! He’s also been one of the best human beings God ever put on a sports field anywhere. We love you, Geno! Always will.
