West Virginia junior point guard Jordan McCabe will miss Thursday’s game against TCU with a lowe back injury, WVU announced on Twitter and hour prior to tipoff. His status is day-to-day according to the team.

McCabe is averaging 2.4 points and 1.5 assists per game in 24 games this season, including five starts. The junior has been the primary backup to sophomore starter Miles “Deuce” McBride and WVU’s primary ball-handler off the bench.

Without McCabe, WVU is left with two primary point guards, McBride and Kedrian Johnson. Johnson, a former junior college transfer, is averaging 1.3 points and 0.8 assists in 21 games this season. He scored a career-high nine points in 25 minutes against Oklahoma State earlier this season.
