Longtime 2026 Commit 3-Star DB Emory Snyder Signs with WVU Football

As one of the early 2026 commits, Oklahoma defensive back Emory Snyder has now officially signed on with the WVU football program.

Back in April, Snyder (6-foot-4, 205 pounds) picked WVU over offers from programs like Colorado State, Rice, Washington State and several others. After being offered by WVU defensive coordinator Zac Alley in early February, Snyder made a couple trips to Morgantown and was vocal about his interest in West Virginia.

Snyder even committed before taking an official visit in June.

He visited fellow Big 12 schools Oklahoma State and TCU right before committing to WVU.

Snyder totaled 45 tackles, 14 passes defended, six interceptions, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery during his 2024 high school season.

At the time, Snyder became WVU’s fifth commit of their 2026 class, joining quarterback Jyron Hughley, running back Jett Walker, wide receiver Jeffar Jean-Noel, and tight end Sam Hamilton.
