LSU Transfer DL in Midst of Visiting WVU Football Program
A defensive line transfer out of the SEC is in Morgantown and visiting with the WVU football staff. LSU transfer Kimo Makane’ole is in the midst of a visit with West Virginia and will stay in town through Thursday, according to the A&P Sports Agency.
Makane’ole, who officially entered the transfer portal on Jan. 3, is looking for a bigger role than what he was offered at LSU. He made just one tackle in 10 games as a backup during the 2024 season.

Makane’ole, a Florida native and a 6-foot-4, 297-pound redshirt junior, started his career as an offensive lineman before switching to the defensive side of the ball. He appeared in nine games over two seasons before making the change last spring.
He has one more year left of eligibility after starting his college career with a redshirt year in 2021. He was rated as a top 100 recruit nationally out of high school.
