Luck, Kendrick Start NIL Team ‘Country Roads Trust’ to Help WVU Athletes

After the Name, Image and Likeness bill was passed on July 1, the deals for West Virginia University student-athletes have rolled in, but what’s next for them? Oliver Luck and Ken Kendrick announced on Wednesday that they’re launching a NIL team called Country Roads Trust. Luck and Kendrick are cofounders of the campaign.
“The changing landscape of college athletics makes Country Roads Trust a necessity,” Luck said. “We want West Virginia University athletics to attract the very best, not only because of our fine land-grant institution, but because of top-notch NIL opportunities. As we all know, our Mountaineers deserve the very best.”

The team of advisors include Jerry West, Don Nehlen, Pat McAfee, Pat White, Da’Sean Butler, Ginny Thrasher, Darryl Talley, Jaida Lawrence Hart, Mike Gansey and Jedd Gyorko.
West Virginia student athletes can sign up and the advisors will help them get NIL deals. Fans and businesses can also participate as well in helping out the WVU athletes.
“Now WVU fans and athletes can get in the game to make sure West Virginia University is competing not only athletically, but financially in that ecosystem. Country Roads Trust LLC is designed to facilitate NIL opportunities for Mountaineer student-athletes.”
